About us
PCT Healthcare is the parent company of our two pharmacy retail chains "Peak Pharmacy" and "Tims and Parker".
Peak Pharmacy was founded thirty years ago and is based in Chesterfield, Derbyshire. Tims and Parker was founded more recently in Salford, Manchester, but had previously existed as two separate groups, one of which was a long established family business in the area.
Peak Pharmacy and Tims & Parker merged in 2001 to form PCT Healthcare LTD, a chain of 60 shops, which subsequently grew to 99 branches by 2007, making it amongst the largest independently owned Pharmacy chains in the country. Due to internal reorganisation the decision was made at that time to divest 50 branches to the Cooperative Pharmacy Group, and on the same day the sale took place, PCT Healthcare also bought what would have been their 100th branch.
Since then, much work has gone into relocation and improvement, rather than expansion, although the Company still leads the way in helping provide innovative services wherever willing commissioners or partners can be identified.
The companies Pharmacies predominantly serve the communities of Chesterfield, Dronfield, Clay Cross, Walkden, Manchester, Pendlebury, Salford, Leigh and the High Peak areas. For many years they have delivered a friendly healthcare service, at the heart of many communities and this is by way of the great team of people who have worked so hard, and loyally for the Company.
Despite its growth and the changing aspects of Pharmacy, we consider both Peak Pharmacy, and Tims & Parker to be family based businesses due to the continual involvement of the Directors, Peter, Jane, Andy & Geoff.
